Arrival in Nairobi

Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Thereafter, transfer with packed lunch to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi departing at 1115HRS to arrive at 1325HRS (timings subject to change in 2025). An intimate and luxurious private safari camp with abundant wildlife set in a remarkable, remote and little-visited corner of Kenya, Shompole Wilderness
nestles in a shady grove of giant fig trees on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro River at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley.
The camp has just six luxurious and spacious double-bedroom tents set on raised wooden decks with large verandas, all set out amidst bush and spreading fig trees on the banks of the Ewaso Ngiro (‘brown river’), the main source of water for the region, which flows from Kenya’s Mau escarpment into Tanzania’s Lake Natron around 25 kilometres south of the camp.
The tents are all private and well-spaced – each has an ensuite bathroom with shower, flushing lavatory, and solar-powered lights and fan.
The main area consists of a lovely swimming pool with a shady bar and lounge area, plus a riverside lounge and bar and a separate airy dining room.
We offer a wide range of activities which will keep every one of you busy and having fun! Game drives at your preferred time of day or night, river swimming, kayaking or tubing, bush walks or spend an evening, early morning, or even the whole night in our Hide watching any birds and wildlife which may come to drink at the waterhole.

Early morning game drive in search of wildlife. After breakfast, check out by 1000HRS which is the Camp’s normal check out time. Spend rest of the day in Lumo Wildlife Conservancy with unlimited game drives and lunch served from the Camp. Thereafter, transfer to Taita Hills airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport departing at 1545HRS to arrive at 1730HRS (timings subject to change in 2025). Met on arrival and transferred to the larger Jomo Kenyatta International Airport departure terminal for your onward international flight back home.
