David Parakuo was born and raised in Maasai land, renowned for its rich culture, exceptional flora and fauna.
Being raised with the wildlife while herding family cattle, I never thought it would be part of my career.
I got more interested and joined Nature Kenya and Nairobi National Museum to learn about trees, shrubs, among bird counting, ringing, and study birds’ migratory roots in places like Taita and Ngulia with the International renowned Ornithologist Mrs Flor Ngweno.
I attended Dima College and attained a diploma in tour guiding and administration. Certificates in foreign languages, Spanish, Japanese, French, and Chinese with satisfactory grades.
In 2010, I did filming for the Maasai culture used for advertising the World Cup by one of the biggest media houses in Mexico Azteca Television. In the same year, I attended the world tour forum as a translator in foreign languages.
Am a silver guide medal holder and satisfied the examiners as one of the best.
With the vast experience in culture, flora and fauna, it’s always my greatest passion to show, share and teach our esteemed guests all the mother nature have at its best.
