Calving of Wildebeest Adventure offers the “ultimate safari” through the Tanzanian most popular northern parks revolving around Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It has been designed to coincide with the calving of the wildebeest that takes place in Ndutu from end of December / beginning of January to end of March / beginning of April. With some luck you will get to witness this great phenomenon which will be the highlight of your safari!!
Your accommodation has been carefully selected to include relatively small to medium size properties that offer very personalized services with an exception of Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which is a larger property but due to cool temperatures around the crater, we feel it will provide you with the much needed warmth. Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Arrival can take place at any time of the day though we would recommend from noon onwards for guaranteed hotel check-in. Upon arrival, your private safari guide / vehicle will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your overnight hotel which is about 1 hour drive.

Full day game drives at your convenience – you may carry packed lunches so as to enjoy full day game drive IF you wish. Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. Full day in Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast descend for the crater floor with packed lunch for extensive game drives. This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley and is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. The Crater actually is a gigantic fracture of the earth’s crust. The magnificent landscape consists of volcanoes, mountains, plains, lakes, forests and archaeological sites. At 1600 meters altitude the bottom of the Crater (265 km square), dotted with watering holes, offers shelter to almost 30.000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. Wake up to the crater view, and after a leisure breakfast at your lodge begin the drive back to Arusha via scenic landscape and onwards transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. You can have a short stop-over in Arusha for lunch time allowing.A warm goodbye from your guide as you depart back home taking with you the unforgettable memories….!!
