I was born just West of Maasai Mara. I was introduced to wildlife and conservation at a young age through a family friend, who was a game ranger in Maasai Mara. I used to visit him as a young boy and gained a high respect for game rangers and the animals they protect. In school I was an active member of the Kenya wildlife club and never missed a tour to the various parks and reserves.
As a young boy I could identify several birds by name. It was therefore simple to transfer this knowledge into ornithological knowledge. I started my career as a guide from 2002 and it has been a great journey. I joined Sunworld Safaris in 2008 and have been here ever since. I have vast experience with wildlife, especially birds. In March 2009, Sunworld Safaris sponsored me for a one week birding course in Naivasha. I was one of the top five best students in my class.
