After breakfast, you will be picked up from the Tamarind Tree Hotel at approximately 10:00 a.m. and driven to Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage. Between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., you will have the opportunity to meet the elephant orphans and their caregivers and receive a wealth of information about the elephants and the project. Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Afterwards, you’ll visit Nairobi National Park for an extended game drive. Kenya’s oldest national park is located just outside Nairobi. It was founded in 1946 and is approximately 10 km from the city center.
From some spots in the park, you not only have fantastic views of the grazing animals, but also of the Nairobi skyline in the background. This combination is unparalleled anywhere in the world.
Also visit the memorials, where, for example, the world’s largest ivory burning took place. In addition to rhinos, this sanctuary is home to more than 80 species of mammals (giraffes, buffalo, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, warthog, lions, cheetahs, and occasionally leopards). Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park, and before your driver takes you back to the hotel, you will stop at a supermarket to stock up on additional provisions (sweets or beverages, etc, if you have special requests that are not included). Afterwards, transfer to the hotel, where you can reflect on the day’s experiences. Overnight at the Tamarind Tree Hotel.

Day 4 - 5
Tsavo East (Ithumba Camp)
Two exciting and adventurous days await you. The group will visit the release station as often as possible. You’ll travel to the release stations early in the morning, around 5:45 a.m. This is when you’ll feed the elephants together with their keepers. After two intensive hours, you’ll return to camp. You’ll fortify yourself with a leisurely breakfast before heading to the mud pit at around 10:30 a.m., where up to 100 young elephants gather. Some return again and again, even years after their release back into the wild. This is where unforgettable memories are made.
You’ll return for lunch around 1:00 PM. The afternoon is free for relaxation. At 5:30 PM, your last visit to the elephants of the day will take place. The elephants will slowly return from the wild to their enclosures. The evening rituals will then follow, and you’ll return to camp for dinner. Listen to the sounds of nature under the endless starry sky and enjoy a cool drink by the campfire. Overnight at Ithumba Camp (B, L, D)

Day 6
Tsavo East - Lumo Conservancy (approx. 4.5 hours drive)
Return to the elephants in the morning. Say goodbye to this special place. After breakfast, you’ll drive to the Lumo Conservancy. This private sanctuary is home to large wild elephant herds, which are particularly protected here. The sanctuary lies between Tsavo West and Tsavo East and provides a migration corridor for the elephants between the parks. This sanctuary has over 4,000 resident members, all of whom benefit from tourism
and therefore have a keen interest in animal conservation. It’s a beautiful example of the peaceful coexistence of humans and animals. Besides the elephants, there are plenty of other animals to see here. Dinner and overnight at the Cheetah Tented Camp. (B, L, D) Other options available here include night game drives, use of the photo hide, cultural interactions, and visits to schools around the region.

Here, you’ll be away from mass tourism and can observe the wildlife undisturbed. The accommodation offers stunning views of the entire conservancy, which will delight you. Short hikes are also possible here. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to Tsavo East in Voi, to another reintroduction station for Daphne Sheldrick’s elephant orphans. Day 8
Lumo Conservancy – Amboseli National Park (approx. 4.5 hours)
In the morning, you’ll embark on another game drive in Lumo. You’ll slowly bid farewell to this private reserve and head north again to Amboseli National Park. You’ll arrive at your accommodation for a late lunch. Amboseli National Park is best known for its large herds of elephants. Who hasn’t seen the images of these walking gray giants in the shadow of the majestic Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain? A picturesque backdrop that offers spectacular wildlife. Thanks to Kilimanjaro’s meltwater, it’s a very green park with many small watering holes. Keep an eye out for lions, giraffes, hippos, and many other animals.
An adventurous day on safari comes to an end. After dinner, round off the day with a cool drink by the campfire or in the bar, gazing at the endless starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay at Ol Tukai Lodge (B, L, D)

Amboseli National Park
Experience an unforgettable day in Amboseli National Park – a true highlight for elephant lovers! Plan your game drives flexibly within the park’s opening hours – you and your group decide when and how long you want to be out and about. The large elephant herds and the rare “Big Tuskers” are particularly impressive. With a bit of luck, you might even encounter the legendary Big Tusker Craig, who frequently wanders through the park. If you wish, enjoy your lunch as a picnic in the heart of nature – perhaps with a view of bathing elephants in the swamps, or return to your accommodation for lunch. A short climb to Lookout Hill rewards you with a magnificent panorama of the park and – weather permitting – a clear view of Kilimanjaro. In the evening, you return to your lodge and reflect on the day’s impressions amidst this elephant paradise. Meals and overnight stays at Ol Tukai Lodge (B, L, D
