After an early breakfast and check out by 0700hrs, your private safari guide/vehicle will provide you with a safari briefing and thereafter depart for the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve driving along the floor of the Rift Valley. You will take a brief stop at Kijabe viewpoint for a few shots of this amazing natural phenomenon. Proceed on via the towns Mai Mahiu and further on past Narok town to arrive at your camp in time for lunch. The camp is a short drive from the major migration crossing points and within the big cat territory, famous for its large prides of lion, leopard and cheetah. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive in search of the famous ‘BIG FIVE’ animals and other various game that roam the vast plains.

We are the first to acknowledge that sometimes, children bore easily and so we’ve included Bush School Adventures for your little one while in Maasai Mara National Reserve. These activities will keep the little ones of different age groups engaged and entertained. A naturalist at the camp will guide the children in various awesome summer activities such as Bush cooking / baking classes “Mara Bush Camp Kitchen”, Children Photography Course, Educational Game Drive & Quiz on Wildlife, Learn about an Eco-Camp for the younger children. Check-out and depart for Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort with a game drive en-route to arrive in time at your lodge in time for lunch.
Sopa Resort boasts of a beautiful compound surrounded by yellow backed acacia. Several animals such as Waterbucks, Impalas, Columbus monkeys and Baboons have found a good home here. Guided walks in the compound can be organized with the resident guide.
This afternoon we have organized a boat ride to view the numerous hippos on the lake along with diverse bird life and the quite common fish eagle.

We recommend an early morning wake up to experience excellent game viewing & an unprecedented view of the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge for breakfast. You may opt for an additional game drive after breakfast to visit the swamp with its magnificent wildlife and its large herds of elephant it is also famous for. Afternoon game drive for more game viewing and relaxation by the pool side in between.

Lumo Wildlife Conservancy borders Tsavo West National Park and offers some of the most stunning views/landscape of Taita Hills, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mkomazi Reserve on the Tanzanian side. Being a private conservancy, it provides one with possibilities that a typical national reserve/park would not such as night game drives, reasonable off road driving, guided bush/bird walks etc. This destination can easily be described as “off the beaten track” – something special with a combination of both wildlife / culture and away from the usual tourist crowds. The villages here are quite authentic and you get to experience “a day” of the local tribe. Get to witness how the sisal is locally extracted or how the Aloe Vera juice is made – quite fascinating!!! You also have a good chance of seeing melanistic serval cat (spotted on night drives), Serval, Genet, African Wildcat, Golden Cat etc. as well as Oryx, Eland, Lesser Kudu which are part of the wildlife spotted other than cheetah/lions & of course the usual game. This park is also a birder’s paradise and boasts over 600 species of different birds, some endemic only to this region in the world. A day trip to Tsavo West is another wonderful idea and very close to Lumo. Lake Jipe and Challa as well as different landscape/biodiversity are additional attractions there too.
