Second full day in MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

On this day you will cross the River Nile on a ferry at 0700 hrs in the morning to start your game drive towards the ‘Nile Delta’ where the river flows into Lake Albert. Your experienced Captain will take you on about 2 hours river cruise for game viewing. You will see many hippos in the water and some of the largest crocodiles in Africa ‘sun bathing’ on the river banks as well as elephants, buffaloes and other mammals coming down to the river to drink. Morning Chimps Tracking and depart for LAKE ALBERT

Breakfast at your lodge and check-out. Thereafter you will be transferred to the chimpanzee trek base in the Budongo Forest. After a brief orientation depart for the Chimpanzee trekking with your local ranger to see these amazing creatures closest to us. Like us, chimps are highly social animals, care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50 years. In their habitat in the forests, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the tree tops. Chimps usually travel on all fours, though they can walk on their legs like humans for as far as a mile. They use sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to sop up drinking water. The trek easily takes about 3 -4 hrs. Enjoy a packed lunch thereafter and proceed on to Lake Albert. Check-in into your accommodation and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may enjoy a bush dinner in the wilderness weather permitting.
