Important notes;
Visas;
Ugandan visas are required by citizens of the European Union, the USA and Japan; other nationals basically with the principle of reciprocity. Entry visas can be applied online http://www.visas.immigration.go.ug/ or gotten on arrival, applicants must have a valid travel document not less than 6 months from the date of departure. A single entry visa costs US$ 50, and is valid for three months.
NB- The EAC Tourist visa allows you to visit Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda within 90 days and costs US$ 100
Booking Terms & Conditions
1) All quotations are net /non-commissionable and inclusive of statutory taxes/levies.
2) Once a booking is confirmed, an invoice will be sent, after which payment should be made immediately to secure bookings.
3) We shall NOT be liable for any excursions or extra services NOT booked through our offices while on tour.
4) For payments made in cash, US Dollar notes older than 2006 are not accepted, US$ 2 bills not accepted as well.
5) Invoices are subject to a fee of US$ 35.00 towards International Bank Telegraphic transfer charges.
Gorilla Permits
Gorilla permits are confirmed via payment of US$ 600 per permit to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), who confirm the permits on first come first serve basis. Primate Expeditions Ltd shall NOT be held responsible if at the time of receipt of payments the permits will not be available.
NB:
a) Gorilla Permits based on current Government Park Tariffs. Park fees are subject to change without prior notice.
b) Gorilla permits are non-refundable & non-transferable
Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy for safari sector excludes permits policy:
a) To cancel any reservation, Primate Expeditions Ltd must be notified in writing as soon as possible.
b) Notice of cancellation is only effective when it is received in writing.
c) In such case the following cancellation charges will be payable on accommodation and related services:
i. If cancelled 60 days and over – No charges.
ii. If cancelled 59 – 36 days and under, 45% cancellation charges will apply
iii. If cancelled 35 – 16 days and under, 75% cancellation charges will apply
iv. If cancelled 15 days and under, 100% cancellation charges will apply
d) Unused portion of any Safari or Tour is not refundable.
e) The small and up market properties such as Apoka Lodge, Clouds Gorilla Mountain Lodge, Semliki lodge and Pineapple Bay and any other as advised at the time of quotation/booking may require a non-refundable deposit to guarantee bookings. This will be communicated at the time of booking.

Arrival can take place at any time of the day though we would recommend from noon onwards for guaranteed hotel check-in. Upon arrival, your private safari guide / vehicle will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your overnight hotel which will be about 10 minutes drive. Entebbe is one of Uganda’s main towns and a more of a residential area hence no much traffic is expected. All meals on this day will be payable direct. Overnight at HOTEL NO. 5
10 luxury rooms (05 doubles and 05 twins). All luxury rooms are air conditioned with an en-suite bathroom with shower, Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs with DSTV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and mosquito nets.
Meal Plan: All Meals Payable Direct
A long drive would be involved today hence an early rise is advisable for departure by 0700 hrs. The drive will be beside Uganda’s Capital city, Kampala and through the local Villages on a good road to arrive at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary by 1130 hrs at the very latest. Proceed on for check-in procedures and track the Rhinos on foot. This is the only place that boasts Rhinos in Uganda and certainly worth a visit!!! Here you get to watch and get at a close safe distance to the Southern White Rhino with your local well trained ranger. This activity takes about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs. Pick up and transferred to your Amuka Lodge for a late lunch. At about 1500 hrs drive on to Murchison Falls National Park to arrive at your lodge located along the world’s longest river, THE NILE early evening i.e. about 1800 hrs. Check-in into your accommodation followed by dinner thereafter. Dinner and overnight at BAKERS LODGE.

Early morning pick up from the lodge by a privately chartered river boat and game viewing up downriver to the delta where your private safari guide / vehicle will be waiting for you. After a picnic lunch proceed on for an afternoon game drive. This is arguably one of Uganda’s best park with variety to offer i.e. from river cruises along the River Nile to Chimpanzee tracking in the nearby Budongo Forest alongside the game drives in the park. Wildlife include elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Oribi, bushbuck, Uganda Kob, Bohor reedbuck, spotted hyena and if lucky you could even spot the leopard amongst others. Whilst your guide will cross the Nile with the car on a ferry at Paraa, you will board a private chartered boat just before 1800 hrs. You will drift downriver along the shore for game viewing towards the sunset. To make your cruise even more special, your captain will treat you with cheese & wine. Around 1900 hrs you will arrive at Baker’s Lodge. Meals and overnight at BAKERS LODGE.

On this day you will cross the River Nile on a ferry at 0700 hrs in the morning to start your game drive towards the ‘Nile Delta’ where the river flows into Lake Albert. This is the best area of the park for game viewing. Your guide will have a ‘packed lunch’ and enough drinking water with him. After lunch you will board an exclusively hired river boat. Your experienced Captain will take you on about 2 hours river cruise for game viewing. You will see many hippos in the water and some of the largest crocodiles in Africa ‘sun bathing’ on the river banks as well as elephants, buffaloes and other mammals coming down to the river to drink. Wind up with about 1 hr to 1.5 hrs trek up the spectacular Murchison Waterfalls. Here, the Nile water drops 44 meters down through a 7 meter wide gap. An astonishing display of Mother Nature’s power and one of Uganda’s most spectacular sights. All meals and overnight at the BAKERS LODGE.

Breakfast at your lodge and check-out. Thereafter you will be transferred to the chimpanzee trek base in the Budongo Forest. After a brief orientation depart for the Chimpanzee trekking with your local ranger to see these amazing creatures closest to us. Like us, chimps are highly social animals, care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50 years. In their habitat in the forests, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the tree tops. Chimps usually travel on all fours, though they can walk on their legs like humans for as far as a mile. They use sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to sop up drinking water. The trek easily takes about 3 -4 hrs. Enjoy a packed lunch thereafter and proceed on to Lake Albert. Check-in into your accommodation and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You may enjoy a bush dinner in the wilderness weather permitting. Lake Albert Safari Lodge is located on a cliff overlooking the vast Lake Albert with the Blue Mountains across the Lake in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Overnight at LAKE ALBERT SAFARI LODGE.

Today you have the choice of either visiting the Lake Manyara National Park or enjoying a selection of activities at the Manor at Ngorongoro. Lunch will be served at The Manor then you will be transferred to Manyara Airstrip for your flight to Serengeti National Park. You will be transferred by road to Serengeti Pioneer Camp arriving in time for a Sundowner.

Situated within the Southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe River, an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness
Being within the park, the wildlife is free to also pass through the camp and elephants can be seen bathing in the river, buffalo enjoy grazing and resident troops of Black-and-White Columbus and Vervet monkeys are frequently viewed.

The largest of the great apes, gorillas are stocky animals with broad chests and shoulders, large, human-like hands and small eyes set into hairless faces. Gorillas display many human-like behaviors and emotions, such as laughter and sadness. They even make their own tools to help them survive in the forest. In fact, gorillas share 98.3% of their genetic code with humans, making them our closest cousins after chimpanzees and bonobos After the trek, drive back to your lodge – for freshening up and lunch. After breakfast you will be transferred to Kihihi airstrip (drive takes approx… 2 hours) to catch your light schedule flight to Entebbe departing at 1020 hours (baggage allowance is strictly 15 kg in soft sided duffel bags). Upon arrival at 1125 hours, transferred to The Hotel No. 5 for day room use. Thereafter drop off at Entebbe International Airport for outbound departure.
