Full Day Lake Nakuru National Park
Drive through the Great Rift Valley into one of Kenya’s most popular National Park’s with the largest population of Waterbuck, Black & White Rhino and a paradise for over 300 bird species.
Depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with its scenic views over the Rift to Lake Nakuru. The park is famous for it’s large population of pelicans, the endangered black and white Rhino as well as the big cats in its eco-system. Resident in the park are Defasa Waterbuck, Common Zebra, Rothschild Giraffe, black & white Colobus monkey and different species of antelope and buffalo. With a bit of luck, you could encounter lions or leopard. The landscape is great! Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives around the lake with lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar. After lunch at Elsamere Conservation Centre (former home to Joy Adamson), we invite you on a short boat ride on the lake and a visit to the local “Crescent Island” to walk among giraffe, waterbuck, gazelle, zebra and view an ornithological paradise. Return to Nairobi in the early evening (departing Naivasha latest at 16.00 hours).
Full Day Visit to Kiambethu Tea Farm
Drive through the scenic landscape of Tigoni into highlands of Kenya. Arrive at 11am and over a cup of tea or coffee the history of the farm and process of making tea is informally explained, followed by an opportunity to see tea in the field.
Then take a walk in the indigenous forest with our resident Kenyan guide who will identify the plants and explain how they are traditionally used. Look out for the Colobus monkeys close up and wander in the gardens which are home to a wide variety of birds and flowers.
Return to the house to enjoy a pre-lunch drink on the verandah with sweeping views across the tea fields to the Ngong Hills. Enjoy your three course buffet lunch from our set menu prepared with vegetables from the garden and desserts are topped with cream from our herd of Channel Island cows.

Visit the world-renowned orphanage where orphaned baby elephants and rhinos are raised for their return to the wild. Public hour visit from 1100 hours to 1200 hours. You can sponsor one of these lovely baby elephants and become an active part of conservation / the baby elephant’s life & release into the wild by Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Centre
Visit to the Giraffe Centre, which is involved in the conservation efforts to save the rare Rothschild Giraffe. Enjoy a unique experience to come into close contact with these beautiful animals and hand feed them. The tour also includes a visit to the famous Karen Blixen Museum, originally the home of Karen Blixen, who came to Kenya from Denmark in the early part of last century. The Museum is one of the main sites in the Oscar winning movie “OUT OF AFRICA” and situated on the outskirts of the Ngong Hills.
